  1. I have a sharp DV-600 DVD player that playes VCDs. I tried the SVCD trick to get it to play SVCDs. I take my MPEG-2, multiplex it into a MPEG-2 with an MPEG-1 heading. I then then burn a non-standard VCD in Nero. I load it, and it recognizes it as a VCD. It plays no video, and plays the first 1/2 second of audio. GLIMMER OF HOPE!!! Anything I'm doing wrong? Should I switch software? Anybody with experience with Sharp players or this same problem?

    Thanks so much

A XVCD with MPEG-2 video is very very off standard. Probably your player can not handle it.

  6. Sorry mate,
I had one of these. The ONLY thing it will play are standard VCDs and standard VCDs with 128k audio. Anything else will just not work. XVCDs with constant bitrate will sometimes display but the audio de-synchs almost immediately.

I gave this to my sister-in-law and got a CONIA M-100. Cheap and plays darn near anything

    Good luck,
    Ian
