  1. Hi, I'm working with a mixed telecine source and I want to manually IVTC it (because of the hard telecined sections), however, keeping the "Honor pulldown flags" option ticked in DGIndex is still not displaying it was interlaced and is keeping the soft pulldown parts as progressive. I'm not sure why. I ripped the DVD with PGCDemux, maybe that stripped the flag too?

Did you expect DGIndex would display a different video type in its 'preview' information tab? The 'xx pulldown flags' option doesn't modify this info, which comes directly from the input video's metadata (e.g. 'progressive' originates from 'progressive_frame' flags in MPEG2 through the whole video, regardless of visual interlacing). In case of mixed telecine you'd see 'Film xx%' instead of 'progressive' or 'interlaced'. In this case you'd also have different resulting frame counts with 'honor'/'ignore' options. PGCDemux is unlikely to modify pulldown flags.
