Hello everyone, I appreciate the fine work of this forum.

I'll try and keep this short, concise and to the point. I am capturing VHS to my PC and am experiencing some lagging video. I dont know how to describe it. You will have to see the raw sample below to know what I'm speaking about. At about 40 seconds in, you can really see the video skip similar to an incorrect interlace field setting, but thats not it. I'm not sure what is causing it.

    Workflow

    a. NTSC VHS Tape
    b. Panasonic NV-HS950 SVHS Player (TBC & DNC On)
    c. S-Video connection to PC
    d. Dedicated Capture PC
    i. ATI All-In-Wonder 9000 Pro 64MB DDR AGP Video Card
ii. Turtle Bay Santa Cruz Audio Card
    e. Virtualdub Capture - Lossless .Avi HuffYUV - Audio PCM

    Troubleshooting Conducted
    a. Changed interlace field - No Fix
    b. Captured with difference device - Fix - Which means error lies within card or card settings.

    I'll keep it even shorter.

Try AmarecTV for capture. Known to give in-sync video when VDub doesn't. See my guide for doing so here.

With separate audio and video cards he really needs all VirtualDub power and options to synch. AmarecTV won’t help here.

Thanks for the replies. There no issues with audio/video sync. Its video motion thats the issue. I have difficulty explaining unless ones see's the video themselves.
