Actually I found the instructions here on VCDHELP.com to be a bit harder than it is.
The instructions for using TMpgenc to create a seperate audio/vido file is good. Then I use bbmpg (or avi2mpg2 as some call it) to recombine the clips as a DVD compliant file. I just tested this yesterday and burned a test DVD with the VCD file and it worked like a charm. I used Ulead Workshop, as Movie Factory will not work. -
harder? you dont need to combine(multiplex) the video and audio at all...maybe workshop requiers that but most authoring tool does that for you when authoring like spruce up, dvdit...

Maybe so, although I was told that Spruce Up wouldn't do it at all. Furthermore, Both Spruce Up and DVDit, both of which I've used in the past aren't nearly as good in the areas of menus and such as workshop. So that is why i went that direction.
