I am using Windows XP Pro.
I found that Nero 5.5.8.0 and 5.5.8.2 would lock up writing the lead-out on my HP dvd200i. The solution I discovered is to disable/kill that hpcdtray tooltray service that loads each time windows starts and then Nero works fine.
To kill the hptray you can do it from task manager, or even better you can run msconfig and uncheck hpcdtray from the Startup tab. You can also un-install the HP software.
The hpcdtray gets installed along when you install HP Software. It does not appear to be required to use their software and all it does is pop up when you insert a blank DVD/CD in the drive.
I don't know if anyone else has this problem but since this is a new drive maybe not too many have bought it yet. I hope this helps someone.
