I want to turn a video into an image sequence using VirtualDub2, but the speed is very slow. How do I speed things up?

Use faster encoder settings. Video -> Compression -> (encoder) -> Configure...

@jagabo, Jay is exporting images. No configuration possible apart from the JPEG quality?

Oh, sorry. I had it backward.
Using a different image type might speed things up. I don't know which is faster or fastest. If saving uncompressed images switching to compressed images may be faster -- depending on drive speed and CPU speed. -
If it is really VERY slow, the bottleneck may be writing to harddisk... Then use something faster.

You're not likely to find anything significantly faster. They all use the same open source libraries for writing files.
