    gotta quick question,
    ive used VirtualDub to both edit and convert my uncompress avi's into a smaller avi format... but does any1 know any good software that'll do the same thing (edit my uncompressed avi's) but then allow me to convert them to svcd or vcd?

    virtualdub and tmpgenc
    edit in virtualdub, frameserver to tmpgenc and encode to mpeg1/mpeg2
