  1. Hi.. I`ve managed to re-encode a VOB file to a lower bit rate for getting a whole dvd movie onto DVD-r.. the picture looks no different to the original which is great,, but the sound doesn`t work.. This is the 5.1 track, and it seems TMPGenc didn`t manage to do a direct stream copy of the audio track. I just used the templates that come with TMPGenc and change the bitrate to 2500.

    Should I be using another piece of encoding software so it doesn`t destroy the sound??? or is there an option I should have ticked???

    Any help would be great

  2. yes, TMPG does NOT output 5.1 sound.

    How would suggest looking at the guides to your left in the DVD RIP section.
