  1. Hello!
i have a few home made DVDs. I want to add some background music to these videos as 2nd audio track. so that the original audio may be preserved. the viewer should have the choice to select the original audio or background music through audio selection button from dvd player. I have tried by using DVD Lab pro but the problem is that i am unable to place different type of music at different places in time line. It means i have so many music file(MP3) But i dont know how to place selected music file at selected location in time line.
can any body help me in this regard.?
which software can do this trick?
    Thanks in anticipation.

You must join all mp3s to one audio track. You could use an audio editor like audacity.

  3. Thanks for your kind response.
But one problem is still there that how to synchronize audio track to video track. For example if want to set a particular MP3 file at a specified time interval in video time line, then how to manage the audio track. I mean how to shift music with respect to video time line. Can you you help me.
    Thanks again.

  4. What you want to do isn't all that easy, given that you've probably had no experience working with DVD. First, you can't use MP3 audio anyway. It has to be converted to sometimg legal for DVD, 48kHz WAV, AC3 or MP2 (MP2 only if for PAL) audio. Second there has to be 'room' to add the new audio so the combined bitrates don't go over the max allowable total bitrate. That may not be a problem, especially if you use AC3 audio.

And third and most difficult of all, unless you plan on adding the new audio to each chapter (much harder), what Baldrick says goes. You have to join the different audio files all together and if they aren't synched from the beginning with the video, add silence at the beginning or end of each piece so they do synch up. My advice is to forget about it.
