  3. You can use VirtualDub to capture to a multi-segment AVI file. I would suggest keeping each segment less than 2GB.

  4. I finally figured this one out at 2:00am last night. You set up multi-segment capture from the CAPTURE pull-down menu in two steps.

    1. Click on "ENABLE MULTI SEGMENT CAPTURE".
    2. Set-up the "Spill" files.

Here's where I had problems. You do this in the CAPTURE ==> CAPTURE DRIVES selection. I thought the Path was the full path of the spill files; I'ts not. The Path is the route of the drive(s) you want to set up to capture the multiple segments. So, if you have only one drive use "c:\" as the Path. VD will then automatically create all the sequential capture avi files for you dynamically as needed.

Go to http://www.geocities.com/lukesvideo (sorry, I don't know how to make this a hyperlink). He's got an incredible amount of info.

BTW - I skipped the 2gb limit and used 3900mb as my limit in my initial test. It worked for me using Windows ME.

    Good luck

By saying "yes" dummy probably wanted to remind you that you should read program documentation before asking questions.
