Hi all, I have a Blu-ray in production with some very specifically formatted subtitles, which feature an opaque box and at least five separate colors for the text. In addition to a .ass file, we can export a straightforward .srt with .png files for each line so that everything appears as intended. However, I have been advised there may be constraints when it comes time to author the discs, including a limit to the number of colors. Someone mentioned making use of Da Vinci Resolve, but I would be grateful for any advice regarding the best way moving forward.

Try Subtitle Edit. It can export both .srt and .ass to blu-ray compatible PGS stream (SUP).
