    Needs deinterlancing help for documentary. Couldn't sure about deinterlancing this kind source.

  2. To retain smoothness of motion you should encode 60p, not 30p. I'm not sure what MeGUI calls it, maybe Yadif 2x, or Yadif Bob. Sometimes better than Yadif is BWDIFF. Much better is QTGMC(). I don't know if MeGUI supports them directly. If you build your own scripts you can use them.

  3. That sample is actually 29.97p content . I would check other sections, if they are the same, then don't deinterlace, just treat it as progressive
