I have an MPEG2 file (NTSC, 480x480, 29.97 fps) that can be played in PowerDVD4.0 without any problems.
But if I create an SVCD from this file using VCDEasy, this SVCD is not playable in PowerDVD4.0 ("Error Code 89030000" - Unknown file format").
Any ideas?

have you tried windvd?
can you play other vcds or svcds? -
I can play other SVCD or VCD.
The strange thing is that PowerDVD plays the MPEG, but not the SVCD made of it.
Thanks for reply! -
have you tried the svcd in a dvd player?
can you copy the svcd from the cd without problem? maybe just a "bad" burned cd. -
Sorry, I don't have a standalone player.
I extracted the MPG file from the SVCD using Isobuster, and the extracted MPG file also runs in PowerDVD, only the SVCD itself doesn't.
