I've downloaded Scenalyzer to transfer my Digital8 tapes. I just wanted to check a few settings out. I left file>options>capture settings> 16:9 mode for capturing video>Automatic. I'm assuming the Automatic selection will select the correct aspect ratio as most of my Digital8 tapes are 4:3.
I'm guessing the file>capture settings>still frame export settings are for images and not relevant to video capture but thought I would check anyway. Any advice on my settings would be appreciated. Thanks.

DV type 2 is what comes to mind, I find it to be more compatible with Avidemux and VirtualDub.

Thanks Barrythecrab. I transferred a movie across with scenalyzer and it looks great but unfortunately I have the same problem I have with winDV (on my previous thread) so I must have a compatibility problem somewhere. I get an error message with windows media player once the video has finished however, I don't get any error messages with VLC media player. If I stop the video just before the end I don't get an error message but if I wait until the final frame freezes I get the error message. Thanks.
