  1. Hello, I will receive this device in a few days: Niagara 2200 ViewCast I would like to use it to transfer streaming videos to 2 other people. Unfortunately I can't find any YouTube videos or anything similar about the device. Does anyone know the device and can give me a tip on how best to do it? Thank you for your help. Many greetings, Frank

  2. What will you connect this device to?
Why are you buying something that you haven't researched properly?
What if this device is not able to do what you want it to do?
Did you buy it because you thought of it, or someone else suggested?

If I/my posts ever helped you, and you want to give back, send me a private message!

Did you read the manual BEFORE you sought this out ?

I may be wrong here but technology has moved on in the 12 years since this unit was first available. The unit, as far as I can see, relies on an Internet Explorer Browser for a start and is just the encoder part of the process. More so that it encodes as Adobe Flash which servers no longer support. And what about the server ? Surely you will not use your own internet connection to serve ?

More so there are registration protocols to consider.

    These days, streamers use OBS.

    Just my 2 cents.

  4. Hi, thanks for the answers. First of all, I'm writing from Germany and here you can send everything back within two weeks. I don't know how it is for you, but it works here.I can't find a suitable forum in Germany and I think there might be people here who know how to do it I realize that the technology is very old but 640x is enough for what I want to do. And yes, I want to use my own internet connection - I just want to stream to 1 other PC. Obs is a PC software that shouldn't run when streaming. It is therefore unsuitable. I know that a suitable device would be the Kiloview E2 IP. But that's too expensive for me and I don't need it. In the meantime I have read further, I will now try to set up an rtsp stream to vlc with the device mentioned here. I would like to transmit composite signals from my Marantz amplifier. On 1 PC and if possible on a second PCs... Even if the device is old, should it actually work?

    Best regards
    Frank
