been downloading MPGs from Usenet...trying to pass thru VCDEasy to add chapter/navigation....chaptering usually works fine...and resulting SVCD plays in sync if you don't navigate or fast forward...if you navigate then audio lags in sync....any suggestions?

I'm getting the same problem when I rip using DVDx then use VCDeasy to make an SVCD with chapters every 5 mins?

I have the problem with my Dansai DVD player but not with my old Mico A980.

What player do you have and have you managed to solve the problem yet?

I have an Apex 1500 and it does the same thing but not my Sanyo. It especially happens when I fast foward. In my instance I have to think it is the player.

It does it on PowerDVD, Media Player also....I think its a mux issue...
I vaguely remember somewhere someone talking about having to demux the streams and remux with TMPGENc..or maybe just remuxing it somehow directly...that's the problem, I can't re-find it in the guides here!...

Svcds use scan offsets to maintain sync and these are especially important for mainting sync during seeking. If your svcds are losing sync during seeking they were probably multiplexed with TMPGenc, which does not add svcd scan offsets.

Demultiplex in TMPGenc and remultiplex in bbmpeg using the default svcd settings. This will properly allign the mpeg sequence headers and add the Svcd Scan offsets, which make your svcds much more compatible on hardware players.
