    Ive been ripping dvds for a while now and recently i just noticed that i can no longer rip any higher than 1.3x on a 16x dvd-rom using smart ripper.

    Has anybody else had this problem???

    Not had a chance to check the dvd out yet but it seems to be working normally.

    Does anybody have any solutions???

    Ive made no changes at all to my system.
    The problem is with the drive itself.

    Although it is possible for a drive to go bad, most problems are usually in the software department, I strongly suggest you check what I asked you earlier, and then report back.

    Have you defragged your drive lately? Do you have any apps or screensaver running in the background? You might want to check these out and see if your speed improves.
