  1. Hi!

I'm new here, hope a posted this under correct Topic!
I have started to use Virtual DUB for reformating AVI files.

The problem I encounter is that when loading up an AVI file in VDub.
the screens are all black. This is not the case with MPEG files.

The AVI's files are full functional in WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 6.4 and DIVX PLAYA PLAYER.

    System:
    WIN ME
    256 MB RAM
    P3 1000Ghz
    Nvidia Gforce 2MX
    Virtaul Dub Version 1.4.10.0
DIVX 5.0 bundle (Codecs and PLAYA player).

How do I fix the black screen in Virtual DUB?

  4. What guide are you using to convert?

When using virtual dub you are only supposed to extract the audio to make a wav. file to use with tmpgenc . Unless you are using some other guide that I don't know about

  5. Hi, I removed the DIVX 5.00 bundle and installed DIVX4.11 Bundle!
That made the black screen go away!

Prior that I tried to remove 5.00 and installed it again, didnt help. So it must be something wrong with DIVX 5.00 bundle!

  7. Hi!

Well I wasnt able to start doing anything in (using any guide) in VD, sine both of the screen windows in VD was completly black. But As I said earlier this is now fixed.

Also saw in this formum at: http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=90143&sid=a8b3ab494a98deb38ba478ce8d2e3c0a
    which looks similair.

But I get the tip, to reinstall DIVX from another forum, (and also test with an older version).
