    this is a doozy.

    just lately, i havent been able to burn any of my videoCDs. i usually use VCDEasy but my CDs dont work anymore. i tried Nero, DVD MovieFactory with no luck. everything burns, but when i open up explorer, it reads nothing in my CD drive and says incorrect function. sometimes my pc stalls too. they also dont work in my DVD player downstairs.
    i just tried to make an audio CD and it works like a charm. im stumped...
    has anyone experienced this before?

    Have you tried using a CDRW disk? I have a Sony DVP cx860 and CDRW is the only way I could get it to work.

    What about data and audio CDs? Check those out.
    I've run across bad batches of blanks.
    If the data and audio CDs don't work, you might have a driver or hardware problem.
    If they work, list the software you use for encoding and the brand of blank CDs. The more info from you, the better.
