I am using the Creative Digital VCR for capture at "Best" setting - 640 by 480. The hardware MPEG encoding does it's thing OK. Now, with the aim of keeping the highest quality I am using the Ulead Movie Factory for authoring and burning set for highest DVD quality of 720 X 480. So input MPEG-2 at 640 X 480, output MPEG-2 at 720 X 480 yet this process procedes at 4 frames per second or 16 hours for a 2 hour movie. Does this sound right ?
