Is the latest release of AviSynthPlus safe?

Hello All,

I am experiencing a problem downloading and installing the latest version of AviSynth+ and was wondering if any of you had the same problem and could offer some advice.

I am downloading AviSynthPlus from the GitHub link listed in the AviSynth main page (under Forks)(http://avisynth.nl/index.php/Main_Page.

I downloaded the version 3.7.0 with vcredist (since this was the first time I had ever installed it)

Windows Defender gives me a warning as shown in the picture below when

I ignored the warning and allowed the program to download. When running the install, I get the following message:

Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Is this an actual problem or a false positive?

Its windows standard method of protecting your computer from unknown program even those that are safe such as yours,you have to set windows to allow programs to be installed other than windows sanctified choices,google for more options how to do this.
