  1. OK has any one ever had this problem..

    TDK model velocd 12x10x32A

I used my first cd-rw two days ago and have not used the drive since then . I went to use it today and here's what happened

disc 1 of a movie it didn't work
disc 2 of a movie it didn't work
disc 1 of diffrent movie didn't work

Then I tried cd-rw s I wouldn't make any more coasters, and it worked
so back to cd-r diffrent brand an it didn't work

Then figured it was a problem with nero so I uninstalled it
The re-installed nero still no cd-r would work.

So I called TDK and now it's going back to them, and they will check it out. They said I would get back10 days after they receive it

HAS ANYONE EVER HA HIS PROBLEMWITH THIS MODEL OR ANY OTHER BRAND/MODEL

    THANKS IN ADVANCE
VCD4ME (BUT NOT FOR AT LEAST 14 DAYS )

  2. alot of settop players prefer cd-rw. you might try different brands of cd-r... i've found gigastorage are fairly compatible if you want to try them

  3. resnullius,

Hey thanks for replying but you misunderstood me, the problem isn't with my dvd player it's with my tdk writer. It cannot record on cd-r only cd-rw's.Even the tec. at tdk didn't understand iwhy this is happening.

But just out of curiosity do you know why dvd players like cd-rw over cd-r's.

  5. I kno I read that somewhere

Let me re-word this, Now that I re-read it. I did say it kind of wrong, I should have been more direct.

    Here's the problem:
I've had this burner for 6 months and now all of a sudden since I burned my first cd-rw it will not record onto cd-r anymore I have used over 70 cd-r's to make music and movies. all diffrent brands and all have worked in either my cd player or dvd player. It now only records onto cd-rw. Th drive is now on it's way to TDK .

Has anyone ever had this problem with this or any other brand of drive.

    Thanks
    VCD4ME
