    I searched around for an answer, but could not find anything

    Does DVDit PE create a larger audio file thereby enlarging the video+audio mpeg2 file similar to DVDit LE (the trial i got with dazzle)

    If it does, is there another fully customizable easy program that doesnt?

    DVDit PE can do either PCM audio or DD ac3 audio. DVDit LE and SE can only do PCM audio (which is why you are getting the larger audio file.) The AC3 audio is roughly around the size of what an Mp3 of your audio file would be.

    My suggestion would be to get an external AC3 encoder (something like sonic foundry's soft encode, which I don't think is availible anymore) and do your dvd authoring with something like DVD Maestro.
