  1. Friday when I was at futureshop I noticed they had a "clearance sale" on the ADS usb instant DVD. It was marked for $119. CDN. I asked the guy if that was the correct price, he said Yes, the floor manager was there at the counter also and said they must have had too many in stock since the shipments are coming from a new warehouse recently due to the bestbuy buyout.

I called back this morning and confirmed they still had them in stock, the salesguy said they had some and I confirmed the price and got him to put 2 on hold for me and I would pick them up in about 2 hrs.

When i showed up there, the salesguy rang them up and they showed at $349. CND each before taxes, I talked to the manager and he said they were in the wrong place on the shelf, (the row of instand dvd and another capture hardware were in the wrong places) he said he would give them to me for $199. each instead of $349. I said I wasnt interested in them at that price. The manager then told the salesguy to give them to me for the $119.

So after taxes I walked out with 2 instant dvds for $284 CND vs the $698+ taxes = $821 CDN if they hadnt put them on sale for me

  2. what a great deal.. somewhat of a steal, nonetheless good.. its just too bad the drives are usb, and not usb 2.0.. but ahwell. you could sell them both and get something really good, and probably have some change left over..

    nice find
