How can I remove all the noise that comes with a VHS rip?

what do you mean by noise: video(static?) or audio? BTW whichever it is you probalby can't totally get rid of it but you might be able to reduce it...

what is your source? use smart smoother if it is cartoon, smoother if it isn't. enable the noise prefilter...and try the 2d cleaner, it does pretty well...go with a radius of 1 and setting of 7-12 in the top box...the short of it is you are just gonna have to download some filters and fiddle...

Does it blur the picture more?
The noise I'm refering to is, mostly, the sound. That "shhh" sound. -
he was talking about video noise in tempgenc. for audio noise you should plit out the sound and correct it with the reduce noise filter in sound forge

Or use a ground loop isolator between the VCR and the PC (audio of course) when you capture.
