I am stumped here big time. I have been using VD without problems on the following system:
P4 1.3 GHz
384 MB RAM
WinXP
If I try to use it on the following systems:
Athlon XP 1700 P4 2.4 GHz
768 MB RAM 512 MB RAM
Win XP Win XP
It freezes at frame 26601 every single time. When I close it, I get memory address errors. I even tried reformatting and loading 98, same issues. Does VD not work well with systems over a certain amount of RAM. That is the only thing I can think of causing this.
I love to record MPEG's with my TV tuner and shrink a 4 Gig file down to 600 or 700 MB and burn a lot of episodes on one DVD+RW. I normally flask the mpeg file down, cut out the commercials, and then compress the audio with VD. I'm stumped and need help as I am giving the 1.3 to my sister.

what capture card and driver version are you using? Yes memory above 512 can play havoc with some cards.... the trick is to edit your system.ini file. check your manufactures site for the vcache settings..... basically you want to tell your system not to go above 512....
