I know, I know, we all know it's possible. 8) I had it working before I lost a drive and did a new install of Win98 but it's been driving me absolutely CRAZY ever since. No way could I get any capture apps go more than 240 lines except the ATI MMC (any version, you name it) and the MMC would only do MPEG at 480 horizontal. Yes, real time MPEG2 cap in SVCD size is nice for TV caps but not what I wanted for my home movies.

I tried everything (new drivers, multiple versions of MMC, Stinky's tool, all kinds of cature apps) but by accident tonight I got it working. How? I installed the trial version of PowerVCR II to see if it would do it. No, the PowerVCR program didn't work - some sort of C++ runtime error but now VDUB works. Why? Damned if I know, it just works. I THINK it's PowerVCR since that's the only change I made lately but you can be sure I'm not uninstalling it - just in case. Well, unless I really get adventurous...NAH!

VDUB is now my favouite capture app again.

If you are having the same problem, try PowerVCR II from here:

I would appreciate it if any of you make this work would post to let me know.
