If you are sure your mpegs are fully VCD compliant then try different brand media and/or lower burning speed sometimes helps.
Check the DVD players comptibility list under DVD Players to the left of the page. Find your model and see what others have to say about it.
VERY unlikley to be scart leads, can't see how this would be possible. -
I gave got a standalone vcd player. I think it has something to do with the way i am converting my avi,s. When i use Virtual dub all my vcd,s have purple colours in the pictute, but using tmpg the colour is fine, just skips when i play them on my vcd player, its starting to P**** me off now, paied £60 for the vcd player but cant watch any of my vcd,s. Somebody must have an idea what to do....HELP

Ok, a standalone VCD player. I would still suggest trying different brand media and CDRW disks. This player was probably designed to play commercial VCD's which are pressed, not burned. So it may only work well with certaind media brands. Try a few different makes to see if you can find one that works or post a question on the DVD players forum, someone else may have this player and have found a media brand that works well.
