    Hey guys,

I downloaded the trial version of ConvertXtoDVD. I wanted to ask if anyone could comment on why the first disk I burned from PAL to NTSC seems to freeze the picture for not even a second at times before the watermark comes up but even at times when the watermark is not coming up. Is this happening because of the watermark and should not happen if I purchased the key to use it? Has anyone ever experienced this with the non trial version with the picture freezing for a brief moment and continues?

    Thanks,
    DJL

Poor PAL to NTSC conversion can produce stuttering during pans and zooms.

Are you seeing this when you test on your PC from the HDD, or only from the burned disc ?

    Well guys,

I did purchase the ConvertXtoDVD program and sadly I'm still getting the frozen picture for just a brief second and the picture and sound are off in that moment and then changes back to how it should be. I was using DVD Decrypter to take the files from the PAL DVD and then using Convert to burn them. Is there a better program I should use to extract the files or one that is more compatible with Convert? I just don't understand why this is happening on the final DVD.

Does this happen when you play back from the HDD as well ? If so, can you extract just a short sample clip of the problem ?

For the money you spent on ConvertXtoDVD you could have bought a cheap multi-format player and played your PAL discs natively. A much smarter solution.

    Gunslinger,

I will try to extract a sample of the video file to send you. Yes it does it still on my PC. Is there another program to try for extracting files from a DVD?

  7. You can use vob2mpg or mpg2cut2 (both freeware) to cut a part of a vob to mpg
