My dvd-rom won't read the cd

I put the cd I burned in, and try to copy the files to my hard drive.

After 3 minutes, I get some weird message about something resetting in the drive and it stops copying

I tried to recreate the error, it just got to a point and restarted

this is pissing me off, cause I now have to redownload 700 megs

P.S. I tried a file recory, it got the same error

And this isn't limited to one cd either.
