Unable to load .srt file while watching movie on my blurat player.

Can anyone help me? I ripped a movie series that I have and the forced subtitles for it. I have them all in the same folder, yet one of the movies I cannot load it's subtitle. The movie is in .avi format. I am wondering what the problem is as I can load the .srt file on my laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You've posted too little information.

Exact model, make, specs of the equipment you're playing it on.
Mediainfo to report the exact specs of the file you're trying to play.

Hi all. Just to let you know I figured out my problem. It appears that the srt file had an extra character in the file name. Did not see that until I looked at it closer. Thanks for the help to all that helped.
