downloaded my first movie from IRC (Need help joining them)

the files look like this eviliso.nfo, evl-vs1.r00 - evl-vs1.r47, evl-vs1.rar. how do i join these to play as an avi on window media player. do i need a software to convert these to work? please help

Download and install WinRAR
Open the .RAR file
Then extract and select "Process All Files In Current Set"
This forces WinRAR to extract all files (eg. 1.rar + 1.r01 + 1.r02)

Well this is probably an mpeg so what you can do is either get vcdgear and extract the mpeg from the bin Or burn it using either cdrwin or fireburner i like fireburner

Oh and i hope you got the cue sheet and both parts of the movie looks like there is more then one cd

ok i downloaded the cdrwin what are the proper steps to accomplish this mission?

ok well once you install cdrwin select the first option which is burn image after you do that select the cue sheet in the burning software and i would select DAO Disk At Once burning method. Then burn when its done you get an cd that has a few folders in it. Once you have that go into wmp then hit open go into the cd Look in the MPEGAV folder that has the mpeg in .dat format click all files in wmp so you can see the .dat file it should be called AVSEQ01.dat open it in wmp and you should have no problem playing it.

nero can burn cue and bin files also, just use a version newer than 5.5.6.4 because it was not entirley reliable before that.

do not use VCDGear, it tends to cut the ends and begining of files off. there is something about it in the faq on their site. instead use VCDGearGUI from http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdgeargui.htm
