I have a 40+ Inch TV set.. and when I play sVCD's that I captured, encoded and burned, they look Ok.. but just OK.. lots of pixilation.. even with the Dynamic Noise Filter.. (Pixilation usually dumb places like it looks like how a lake shimmers randomly with highs and lows).
But I put that same sVCD in my friends dvd player (same brand and model) and it looked Fantastic.. he has a smaller screen.
Can anyone offer any advice as to the best way to encode with the intention of using it on bigger screens? I thought about cropping and adding borders, but then if I lend it to a friend with a smaller screen, it looks not so hot..
Should I just figure I cant have my cake and eat it too? or are there specific encoding secrets for the big tvs? (I'm worried what its going to look like when I Finally can afford a HD tv..
