  1. Hello,

I created with Ulead VideoStudio5 a SVCD containing a slideshow with sound (16 Bit, 44.1kHz) and sliding FX. My player (Pioneer 525) shows video correct, but at scenes with high video traffic (complex sliding FX) the sound is interrupted/disturbed. Playing this SVCD on a 'simple' player it works fine. The CD is created by Nero 5.5.8.0, standard selection for PAL SVCDs, no menu. Whats wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Tom.

You answered your own question, your bitrate is too high. Lower your max. Pioneers are known to have problems when the bitrate peaks above 2.5mbits or so, so set your max no higher than that.

  3. Adam,

thanks for your reply, but audio bitrate is standard: 224kbps. Is that too much?

Maybe I'm confused, I don't have much experience with slideshows but aren't these FX you authored in Ulead mpgs? If so make sure your bitrate isn't peaking too high, like I said. I'm talking about video bitrate not audio bitrate.

  5. Thanks for your reply,

your hint to lower the audio was successful. At 160 kbps and 192 kbps audiobitrate were interrupts no longer audible.
