    Is there a program out there that can "clean up" video? By this, I mean taking a movie I made on a camcorder and making the video look a lot nicer in quality. Also, cleaning up sound, including background noise, what program is good for this?

    well virtualdub has a lot of cleaning plugins. My favorite is the 2-D cleaner and Temporal smoother.

    the temporal smoother is built in to virtualdub


    as far as audio, my favorite is from sonic foundry's noise reduction plugin, which can be used in anything that can use directx audio plugins
