I am not good with computers or dvd's or anything like that, I know how to turn them on and run them! I recently purchased a dvd that won't run because it says it has a "region error". I am told that is because it is out of thei region 2, and we (US) are in region 1, but it can be easily adjusted. I went to 3 or 4 sites to "adjust" it, but first, I can't find my dvd player, evidently it's a weird one! And, when I did find someone on YouTube that says you can adjust any of them by doing so and so, when I did what he said, my remote didn't come up with any prompts that his did! So I went to another site that says this is a "universal code" that almost all of the players work, so I tried it, and it doesn't do anything. I found that explanation rather strange since I had to type in a code when the remote was turned to "pause", and none of my numbers I typed in showed up anywhere, especially on screen, because it was on "pause". I just don't get it. If anyone knows, In Layman's Terms, how to fix this Funai DP100FX4 player so I can FINALLY WATCH MY MOVIE, please contact me. Thanks.

Not every dvd player has a hack. You can search the dvd hacks section of this site, or do a general internet search.
If you've already come up short you may be out of luck.

Another possibility is to rip it into the computer using something like DVDFab or AnyDVD. and make a region free copy.
You can then burn it back to a blank disk

Keep pressing buttons randomly and you sure will end up breaking your player.

Just play your disk on a PC dvd drive using vlc
