ripped pearl harbor yesterday. the files ripped off of disc 2 don't include the audio file. what's up?
also, i've noticed that with alot of 2 disc sets, one disc is 16:9 and the other is 4:3. ????? Is this the result of my local movie renter mixing them up on purpose?

heh...no, that's not the problem...i'm assuming u used smartripper's "movie mode" to rip pearl harbor
there's a slight problem when u do that, cuz on disc 2, smartripper mistakes one of the behind-the-scenes features with the actual movie...so you probably ripped that instead...not sure which vob set the movie is in on 2nd disc, u can ask around or just experiment yourself and choose another vob set when ripping (still use "movie mode" thou)
as for audio, in general, if you can't rip the audio in track 1, just choose another track cuz track 1 is prolly dts, which dvd2avi can't decode in the earlier versions
