Ok guys, after about two months and a lot of help I finally got virtual dub to capture audio with my built in soud board. Thanks to all who helped me out!!

Now I have another problem. If I capture at any rate above 15fps, I start dropping frames like crazy. If I try 25fps, I drop as many as I catch. I am using uncompressed AVI but seems to happen with pegasus mpg also.

    I have the following system...
    Win98SE
    850 AMD Duron
    512 Ram
    20 gig HD
VooDooTV100 capture card (with the wdm drivers)

I just got a 40 gig HD that I am going to use for cap only, but not sure if this will help the problem.

Anyone else ever run into this??

    TIA!!

    Shadow

I only use Virtualdub for editing, subtitles, etc. I recommend Vidcap for capture. Also try using Huffyuv codec and PicVideo MJPEG codec for capture.

  3. Have you tried defragmenting your hard drive. It's always better to capture to a dedicated capture drive than one thats running your operating system, so you may find that your new drive solves the problem.
