Alternative software for Mac

Hi there you guys

Since maybe two week I'm happy user of Apple's Mac machine - A1181 witch Mac 10.7.5
This OS is for me a something new, fresh experience soo....
I have a couple questions:

- I need alternative (Windows) software for OS Mac - did you share with me somethings?

1. On Windows I used FFcoder v.2.2 Beta and Vidcoder 2.58 for convert my collection to mkv files
2. On Windows I used too JMKPropedit 1.3.3.1 - is there any alternative for Mac?

Hi,
I bet you can run JMKvpropedit on Mac OS too. It is Java based. So I think you can search for it. Avidemux is nice program for editing and converting video for PC Linux and Mac too. There is also Handbrake for mac os (Vidcoder is based on Handbrake)

Avidemux just crashed wneh I use any of version but
now I just use handbreak but is last nessesery

information about Java install on mac. Avidemux probably crashed (did he on start or when you try open video?) if second case is problem, try disable some features in preferences. Or last, not nightly version.
VLC should be cross platform too. Not nices but specially for mac
