    Anyone know what free software will work for this tuner?

    I lost my Wintv 6.0 disc so I need another program.

    Something that will let me record .ts or .mpg files, nothing too fancy.

    NextPVR. If you are recording digital TV from an antenna, it is not especially difficult to set up. I haven't tried to do it, but is also supposed to be possible to set it up for analog recording, although installation is more complicated.

    You do know you can use WinTV 7 just download WinTV 7 CD 3.2 here hint on upgrade path if you lost you CD just build a fake CD but download the ISO in AVS post.
