    When I try to save my AVI in Virtual Dub I get the following error message -

    The source video stream uses a compression algorithm which is not compatible with AVI files. Direct stream copy cannot be used with this video stream

    Any ideas on what I can do?

    bout the only thing I can suggest is select full processing mode from the video menu and select a suitable codec from video->compression. Then try saving.
