Sony Vegas - Cropped Video Still Showing on Edges of Frame

Hi, I'm currently trying to make a video and when I crop a video clip, the original video keeps showing around the edges.

You can see that the cropped clip is correctly positioned and showing in the video, but for some reason the cropping stops and the original video clip is shown around the edges of the frame. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks!

it is good idea to lock aspect ratio (on the left), do it again with locked aspect ratio, check what it does

last resort is cookie cutter, you can easily masked parts of the screen with it
