Software To Convert UnEncrypted DVD to MP4 ?

Hi Guys,

I need to convert a DVD-R that is NOT encrypted to MP4 file(s).

The DVD-R was created by an old Lite-On DVR if it matters.

Which of the many free programs for Windows, do you folks feel, would give me the best quality of conversion?

All of them, if you know how to handle them right. I would prefer AviSynth based tools, they are most flexible (e.g. StaxRip x64, MeGUI ...). But some ffmpeg based tools can be easier to use for beginners (like VidCoder, XMedia Recode ...).

Recorded DVD's should be easy to handle, as they have only one PGC. You should have finalized the disk before reading in a PC.
