  1. MOst devices that have 384khz seem to be devices that are using digital (not analog) audio, and ones that support both analog and digital, only the digital has the 384khz sampling. The analog inputs and outputs are still only using 192khz sample rates.

Does anybody here know of any 384khz device that has 384khz for its analog input, or analog output (and preferably both)?

The M-Audio Transit Pro claims to have 384 kHz sampling. If M-Audio is doing it, there must be others.

I'm sorry but talking about 384K or 192K sample rates for analog inputs or outputs make zero sense to me. Sampling rates are in the digital domain.

Anyway, I downsample 24 bit audio anyway, to 16 bit 44.1K or 48K, depending on the input sample rate, si it divides evenly. It sounds identical and saves a lot of HD space. The sole benefit to HD recordings is better mastering, which isn't anything to sneeze at. And the result just wipes the floor with the CD version of same.

  4. Some audiophile DAC's support very high sample rates, for high speed acquisition you may try to search for measurement ADC with USB connectivity - something like this https://www.mccdaq.com/usb-data-acquisition/USB-2600-Series.aspx
