  1. as of now i am useing CladDVD to Rip, DVD2AVI, then TMPGE to convert into a VCD format....the quality in my opinion is fantastic with that method...how well does DVDX and DVD2SVCD work?? does it save any time? does anyone think the quality to be just as good or should i just stick to the method i've been useing??? who out there has used these programs and whats been your experiance?? since it rips and encodes does it put a beating on the DVD drive????

  2. Both programs are great, but dvd2vcd is much slower as dvdx 1.8
i use dvdx 1.8 and it's a great and easy program, easier than dvd2vcd

  3. but as far as wear and tear on the drive i would think that it would rapidly eat the life out of the drive don't you think??

i'd personally reather have an app that rips the VOBs first and then leaves the drive alone.. i don't like the idea of my pioneer spinning for the whole night. but i haven't tried dvdx and have heard good things about it.
