Hi I have an old panasonic NV-d48 unit that I want to connect to a USB capture on my PC, the thing is the panasonic has only one audio output socket (rca style), how can I connect this to left AND right on the USB device to get stereo? or would output just be mono anyway. thanks.

It's mono, so you can just use a splitter. Or reformat your audio stream after capture.
