tmpgenc does not support the dv codec. you can either save in uncompressed avi or frameserving from premiere to tmpgenc.

I'm a little confused. I thought Microsoft DV avi was uncompressed avi. I have the exact same setup and I export movies from Premiere using the Microsoft DV avi setting (because that is the setting you have to use to record the edited film back to your camera in DV format) all the time. I don't have trouble opening them in TGMPEnc though. I wold make sure you have the latest version of TMPGEnc and update your DirectX. Also, Premiere is up to 6.0.2 now so try the update on that too.

1 dv is compressed 2 you don't need to export your video to send it back to your camera 3 the new tmpgenc does something to the mpegs that makes them incompatible with DVDit so i don't use it. 4 i just tried to do what you said and tmpgenc still doesn't seem to do it...
if you want to see uncompressed avi export it as a microsoft avi with no compressor(not dv avi).
