Query about Format Factory

Hi

Am using latest version of above prog to convert multiple mpg4 to mpg2 video files. Have used DVD PAL Large, 520*476, 6000 bit rate etc. (default audio).

Every time mpeg created has good quality but no sound. Windows media player on pc won't open files at all. Media player classic-home cinema plays with audio. I use Corel Video Studio to edit etc and when I import megs there is no sound.

Probably something to do with my settings in FF but not sure where I'm going wrong. I have noticed that on conversion some mpegs have a green down arrow while some have a red up arrow. They all have a different % shown. Can someone please explain what this signifies.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

What is your end goal? Why convert?

I've never heard of DVD PALwith that resolution.

Perhaps use MediaInfo View-> Text for your encoded file and copy-paste it to a post for more info.

And provide information on what you are actually trying to accomplish. There is likely a better solution to meet your usage.
