  1. Hi,since i dont know a lot about encoding so i thought to ask for help.My friend who is riping dvds and uploading files to me is having some problem that neither she or me encountered before.I will copy paste what she wrote me:
I'm not sure what to do there's 5 titles to a dvd but there are only 4 VOB files. I played the titles and it stops about half way through when but picks up again after about three seconds just fine but this is probably what's causing it to error. I tried copying an ISO image file, can't do that either. I'm not sure what you would like to do, I'm not terribly knowledgeable about this sort of thing and don't know how to fix it.

How can be 5 titles and 4 vobs?
And what software should i use to solve this. Thanks

Easily, since VOB numbers don't correspond to titles (PGCs).

Solve what? What do you want to do? Separate the five titles so they can be encoded separately? You could have done that at the decrypting stage but with the DVD on the hard drive (not as an ISO) first open the correct IFO in PGCDemux. Hit the drop down box to select the PGC (Title) you want. Over on the left select how you want it demuxed. You might want to create a VOB of just that title. Then, when all done take the various titles and do whatever you like with them.

  4. So I tried this on a couple discs and I was able to create a separate VOB file for the title but i only get about 10 minutes of video, and episodes should be 20-21 minutes long.

  5. You could try MakeMKV or VOB2MPG to get the individual titles.

Did the dropdown box for the PGC (Title) show the real length? If so, how do you know it has only half the video? Did you check and it stops half way through? What are you using to play that VOB?
