  2. Your best bet is to convert the avi to mpg, using TMPGEnc, then to burn to VCD or CD. Go to the Convert section of this website to learn how. Also, you might want to make sure that your DVD player can play CD-R/RW' s and/or can play mpg's. You can find that out on the DVD Players Compatibility list on this website. It might seem like a lot of fuss to go through, but when it's all done, you'll be happy with the results.

  5. hay deman, you probably need the divx codec, can you view that avi clip of yours on windows media player? Try getting a codec pack and installing it. or make sure you have the divx codec installed

hay aguz86, I never tried playing mpegs with realplayer, can you opening it on windows media? by the way, didn't you want to convert your avi to mpeg so you can watch it on your dvd player? if you want to watch it on your computer, why not just watch it with your .avi file? (unless your computer is like mines and is slow reading divx)

  7. hey deman go under the vcd burning category on the website....im tryin to do the same thing..there are numerous steps involved!!!!!for ur dvd player to read the movie it has to be in a .VCD format. the dvd players CANT read avi files. avi is a compressed file format which only the computer reads.
